V2 Racing Technologies is an American racing team based in Speedway, IN.
2016A[edit | edit source]
V2 Racing Technologies was founded as H&H Racing, by Steve Rada and Victor Vallee. The team would be entered into the constructors championship for Volkswagen, running the Polo RX models supplied by the German manufacturer. Besides fielding two cars for co-founders Vallee and Rada, the team also fielded a car for Vallee's friend and former teammate, Philip Kraus. Kraus, the most successful driver on the team, would make the final in his first NASA Rallycross appearance, while co-founder Steve Rada would battle health issues, which would sideline him from Rallycross competition. At what may have been the turning point for the first year team in Aspen, Vallee would ultimately shut down the team to focus on other endeavours with Rada.
2017A[edit | edit source]
For 2017A, Vallee would restart the H&H Team under the V2 Racing Technologies banner, using the same chassis used in 2016A, but with Subaru bodies retrofitted to the chassis. Restarting the team midway through the season proved to be difficult for Vallee, who had brought along Brenden Berg to run a second car in select events, before Berg would part ways with the team to form his own team, and only advanced to the final once in 2017A, and would finish 2nd in the privateers standings to Zach Johnson. Late in the season at Suzuka, Vallee and his team announced plans to create a raceshop in Speedway, IN for his open-wheel ventures along with the rallycross program. It was later announced at Bent Twig that V2RT would move to Honda and field brand new Honda Civics with factory support, a first for the team.
